約伯記 第 36

以 利 戶 又 接 著 說 ：

Elihu also proceeded, and said,

你 再 容 我 片 時， 我 就 指 示 你， 因 我 還 有 話 為 神 說。

Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.

我 要 將 所 知 道 的 從 遠 處 引 來， 將 公 義 歸 給 造 我 的 主。

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

我 的 言 語 真 不 虛 謊 ； 有 知 識 全 備 的 與 你 同 在。

For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

神 有 大 能， 並 不 藐 視 人 ； 他 的 智 慧 甚 廣。

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

他 不 保 護 惡 人 的 性 命， 卻 為 困 苦 人 伸 冤。

He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

他 時 常 看 顧 義 人， 使 他 們 和 君 王 同 坐 寶 座， 永 遠 要 被 高 舉。

He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

他 們 若 被 鎖 鍊 捆 住， 被 苦 難 的 繩 索 纏 住，

And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

他 就 把 他 們 的 作 為 和 過 犯 指 示 他 們， 叫 他 們 知 道 有 驕 傲 的 行 動。

Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

他 也 開 通 他 們 的 耳 朵 得 受 教 訓， 吩 咐 他 們 離 開 罪 孽 轉 回。

He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

他 們 若 聽 從 事 奉 他， 就 必 度 日 亨 通， 歷 年 福 樂 ；

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

若 不 聽 從， 就 要 被 刀 殺 滅， 無 知 無 識 而 死。

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

那 心 中 不 敬 虔 的 人 積 蓄 怒 氣 ； 神 捆 綁 他 們， 他 們 竟 不 求 救 ；

But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

必 在 青 年 時 死 亡， 與 污 穢 人 一 樣 喪 命。

They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

神 藉 著 困 苦 救 拔 困 苦 人， 趁 他 們 受 欺 壓 開 通 他 們 的 耳 朵。

He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

神 也 必 引 你 出 離 患 難， 進 入 寬 闊 不 狹 窄 之 地 ； 擺 在 你 席 上 的 必 滿 有 肥 甘。

Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

但 你 滿 口 有 惡 人 批 評 的 言 語 ； 判 斷 和 刑 罰 抓 住 你。

But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

不 可 容 忿 怒 觸 動 你， 使 你 不 服 責 罰 ； 也 不 可 因 贖 價 大 就 偏 行。

Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

你 的 呼 求 （ 或 譯 ： 資 財 ）， 或 是 你 一 切 的 勢 力， 果 有 靈 驗， 叫 你 不 受 患 難 麼 ？

Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

不 要 切 慕 黑 夜， 就 是 眾 民 在 本 處 被 除 滅 的 時 候。

Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

你 要 謹 慎， 不 可 重 看 罪 孽， 因 你 選 擇 罪 孽 過 於 選 擇 苦 難。

Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

神 行 事 有 高 大 的 能 力 ； 教 訓 人 的 有 誰 像 他 呢 ？

Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

誰 派 定 他 的 道 路 ？ 誰 能 說 ： 你 所 行 的 不 義 ？

Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

你 不 可 忘 記 稱 讚 他 所 行 的 為 大， 就 是 人 所 歌 頌 的。

Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

他 所 行 的， 萬 人 都 看 見 ； 世 人 也 從 遠 處 觀 看。

Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

神 為 大， 我 們 不 能 全 知 ； 他 的 年 數 不 能 測 度。

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

他 吸 取 水 點， 這 水 點 從 雲 霧 中 就 變 成 雨 ；

For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

雲 彩 將 雨 落 下， 沛 然 降 與 世 人。

Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

誰 能 明 白 雲 彩 如 何 鋪 張， 和 神 行 宮 的 雷 聲 呢 ？

Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

他 將 亮 光 普 照 在 自 己 的 四 圍 ； 他 又 遮 覆 海 底。

Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

他 用 這 些 審 判 眾 民， 且 賜 豐 富 的 糧 食。

For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

他 以 電 光 遮 手， 命 閃 電 擊 中 敵 人 （ 或 譯 ： 中 了 靶 子 ）。

With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

所 發 的 雷 聲 顯 明 他 的 作 為， 又 向 牲 畜 指 明 要 起 暴 風。

The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
