詩篇 第 40

（ 大 衛 的 詩， 交 與 伶 長。 ） 我 曾 耐 性 等 候 耶 和 華 ； 他 垂 聽 我 的 呼 求。

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

他 從 禍 坑 裡， 從 淤 泥 中， 把 我 拉 上 來， 使 我 的 腳 立 在 磐 石 上， 使 我 腳 步 穩 當。

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

他 使 我 口 唱 新 歌， 就 是 讚 美 我 們 神 的 話。 許 多 人 必 看 見 而 懼 怕， 並 要 倚 靠 耶 和 華。

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

那 倚 靠 耶 和 華 、 不 理 會 狂 傲 和 偏 向 虛 假 之 輩 的， 這 人 便 為 有 福 ！

Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

耶 和 華 ─ 我 的 神 啊， 你 所 行 的 奇 事， 並 你 向 我 們 所 懷 的 意 念 甚 多， 不 能 向 你 陳 明。 若 要 陳 明， 其 事 不 可 勝 數。

Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

祭 物 和 禮 物， 你 不 喜 悅 ； 你 已 經 開 通 我 的 耳 朵。 燔 祭 和 贖 罪 祭 非 你 所 要。

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

那 時 我 說 ： 看 哪， 我 來 了 ！ 我 的 事 在 經 卷 上 已 經 記 載 了。

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

我 的 神 啊， 我 樂 意 照 你 的 旨 意 行 ； 你 的 律 法 在 我 心 裡。

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

我 在 大 會 中 宣 傳 公 義 的 佳 音 ； 我 必 不 止 住 我 的 嘴 唇。 耶 和 華 啊， 這 是 你 所 知 道 的。

I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.

我 未 曾 把 你 的 公 義 藏 在 心 裡 ； 我 已 陳 明 你 的 信 實 和 你 的 救 恩 ； 我 在 大 會 中 未 曾 隱 瞞 你 的 慈 愛 和 誠 實。

I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

耶 和 華 啊， 求 你 不 要 向 我 止 住 你 的 慈 悲 ！ 願 你 的 慈 愛 和 誠 實 常 常 保 佑 我 ！

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

因 有 無 數 的 禍 患 圍 困 我， 我 的 罪 孽 追 上 了 我， 使 我 不 能 昂 首 ； 這 罪 孽 比 我 的 頭 髮 還 多， 我 就 心 寒 膽 戰。

For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.

耶 和 華 啊， 求 你 開 恩 搭 救 我 ！ 耶 和 華 啊， 求 你 速 速 幫 助 我 ！

Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

願 那 些 尋 找 我 、 要 滅 我 命 的， 一 同 抱 愧 蒙 羞 ！ 願 那 些 喜 悅 我 受 害 的， 退 後 受 辱 ！

Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

願 那 些 對 我 說 阿 哈 、 阿 哈 的， 因 羞 愧 而 敗 亡 ！

Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

願 一 切 尋 求 你 的， 因 你 高 興 歡 喜 ！ 願 那 些 喜 愛 你 救 恩 的， 常 說 ： 當 尊 耶 和 華 為 大 ！

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

但 我 是 困 苦 窮 乏 的， 主 仍 顧 念 我 ； 你 是 幫 助 我 的， 搭 救 我 的。 神 啊， 求 你 不 要 耽 延 ！

But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
