馬太福音 第 6

你 們 要 小 心， 不 可 將 善 事 行 在 人 的 面 前， 故 意 叫 他 們 看 見， 若 是 這 樣， 就 不 能 得 你 們 天 父 的 賞 賜 了。

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

所 以， 你 施 捨 的 時 候， 不 可 在 你 面 前 吹 號， 像 那 假 冒 為 善 的 人 在 會 堂 裡 和 街 道 上 所 行 的， 故 意 要 得 人 的 榮 耀。 我 實 在 告 訴 你 們， 他 們 已 經 得 了 他 們 的 賞 賜。

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

你 施 捨 的 時 候， 不 要 叫 左 手 知 道 右 手 所 做 的，

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

要 叫 你 施 捨 的 事 行 在 暗 中。 你 父 在 暗 中 察 看， 必 然 報 答 你 （ 有 古 卷 ： 必 在 明 處 報 答 你 ）。

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

你 們 禱 告 的 時 候， 不 可 像 那 假 冒 為 善 的 人， 愛 站 在 會 堂 裡 和 十 字 路 口 上 禱 告， 故 意 叫 人 看 見。 我 實 在 告 訴 你 們， 他 們 已 經 得 了 他 們 的 賞 賜。

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

你 禱 告 的 時 候， 要 進 你 的 內 屋， 關 上 門， 禱 告 你 在 暗 中 的 父 ； 你 父 在 暗 中 察 看， 必 然 報 答 你。

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

你 們 禱 告， 不 可 像 外 邦 人， 用 許 多 重 複 話， 他 們 以 為 話 多 了 必 蒙 垂 聽。

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

你 們 不 可 效 法 他 們 ； 因 為 你 們 沒 有 祈 求 以 先， 你 們 所 需 用 的， 你 們 的 父 早 已 知 道 了。

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

所 以， 你 們 禱 告 要 這 樣 說 ： 我 們 在 天 上 的 父 ： 願 人 都 尊 你 的 名 為 聖。

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

願 你 的 國 降 臨 ； 願 你 的 旨 意 行 在 地 上， 如 同 行 在 天 上。

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

我 們 日 用 的 飲 食， 今 日 賜 給 我 們。

Give us this day our daily bread.

免 我 們 的 債， 如 同 我 們 免 了 人 的 債。

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

不 叫 我 們 遇 見 試 探 ； 救 我 們 脫 離 兇 惡 （ 或 作 ： 脫 離 惡 者 ）。 因 為 國 度 、 權 柄 、 榮 耀， 全 是 你 的， 直 到 永 遠。 阿 們 （ 有 古 卷 沒 有 因 為 … … 阿 們 等 字 ） ！

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

你 們 饒 恕 人 的 過 犯， 你 們 的 天 父 也 必 饒 恕 你 們 的 過 犯 ；

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

你 們 不 饒 恕 人 的 過 犯， 你 們 的 天 父 也 必 不 饒 恕 你 們 的 過 犯。

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

你 們 禁 食 的 時 候， 不 可 像 那 假 冒 為 善 的 人， 臉 上 帶 著 愁 容 ； 因 為 他 們 把 臉 弄 得 難 看， 故 意 叫 人 看 出 他 們 是 禁 食。 我 實 在 告 訴 你 們， 他 們 已 經 得 了 他 們 的 賞 賜。

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

你 禁 食 的 時 候， 要 梳 頭 洗 臉，

But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

不 叫 人 看 出 你 禁 食 來， 只 叫 你 暗 中 的 父 看 見 ； 你 父 在 暗 中 察 看， 必 然 報 答 你。

That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

不 要 為 自 己 積 儹 財 寶 在 地 上 ； 地 上 有 蟲 子 咬， 能 � 壞， 也 有 賊 挖 窟 窿 來 偷。

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

只 要 積 儹 財 寶 在 天 上 ； 天 上 沒 有 蟲 子 咬， 不 能 � 壞， 也 沒 有 賊 挖 窟 窿 來 偷。

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

因 為 你 的 財 寶 在 那 裡， 你 的 心 也 在 那 裡。

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

眼 睛 就 是 身 上 的 燈。 你 的 眼 睛 若 瞭 亮， 全 身 就 光 明 ；

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

你 的 眼 睛 若 昏 花， 全 身 就 黑 暗。 你 裡 頭 的 光 若 黑 暗 了， 那 黑 暗 是 何 等 大 呢 ！

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

一 個 人 不 能 事 奉 兩 個 主 ； 不 是 惡 這 個， 愛 那 個， 就 是 重 這 個， 輕 那 個。 你 們 不 能 又 事 奉 神， 又 事 奉 瑪 門 （ 瑪 門 ： 財 利 的 意 思 ）。

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

所 以 我 告 訴 你 們， 不 要 為 生 命 憂 慮 吃 甚 麼， 喝 甚 麼 ； 為 身 體 憂 慮 穿 甚 麼。 生 命 不 勝 於 飲 食 麼 ？ 身 體 不 勝 於 衣 裳 麼 ？

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

你 們 看 那 天 上 的 飛 鳥， 也 不 種， 也 不 收， 也 不 積 蓄 在 倉 裡， 你 們 的 天 父 尚 且 養 活 他。 你 們 不 比 飛 鳥 貴 重 得 多 麼 ？

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

你 們 那 一 個 能 用 思 慮 使 壽 數 多 加 一 刻 呢 （ 或 作 ： 使 身 量 多 加 一 肘 呢 ） ？

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

何 必 為 衣 裳 憂 慮 呢 ？ 你 想 野 地 裡 的 百 合 花 怎 麼 長 起 來 ； 他 也 不 勞 苦， 也 不 紡 線。

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

然 而 我 告 訴 你 們， 就 是 所 羅 門 極 榮 華 的 時 候， 他 所 穿 戴 的， 還 不 如 這 花 一 朵 呢 ！

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

你 們 這 小 信 的 人 哪 ！ 野 地 裡 的 草 今 天 還 在， 明 天 就 丟 在 爐 裡， 神 還 給 他 這 樣 的 妝 飾， 何 況 你 們 呢 ！

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

所 以， 不 要 憂 慮 說 ： 吃 甚 麼 ？ 喝 甚 麼 ？ 穿 甚 麼 ？

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

這 都 是 外 邦 人 所 求 的， 你 們 需 用 的 這 一 切 東 西， 你 們 的 天 父 是 知 道 的。

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

你 們 要 先 求 他 的 國 和 他 的 義， 這 些 東 西 都 要 加 給 你 們 了。

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

所 以， 不 要 為 明 天 憂 慮， 因 為 明 天 自 有 明 天 的 憂 慮 ； 一 天 的 難 處 一 天 當 就 夠 了。

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
