耶 和 華 的 話 臨 到 毗 土 珥 的 兒 子 約 珥。
The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

神的話不是隨便降臨的——它找到特定的人，在特定的時刻。約珥不過是毗土珥的兒子，但神選擇透過他說話。這提醒我們，神至今仍然透過願意聆聽的平凡人來說話。
老 年 人 哪， 當 聽 我 的 話 ； 國 中 的 居 民 哪， 都 要 側 耳 而 聽。 在 你 們 的 日 子， 或 你 們 列 祖 的 日 子， 曾 有 這 樣 的 事 麼 ？
Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

約珥呼召長老和所有居民留心聽，問他們是否見過這樣的事。有時候，神用令人震驚的事件來喚醒我們，讓我們真正看清身邊發生的事。
你 們 要 將 這 事 傳 與 子， 子 傳 與 孫， 孫， 傳 與 後 代。
Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
屬靈感悟
這裡有一個美好的責任——把我們所經歷的傳給孩子，再由他們傳給下一代。我們經歷神的信實的故事不應該止於我們，而是要在世代中迴響。
剪 蟲 剩 下 的， 蝗 蟲 來 吃 ； 蝗 蟲 剩 下 的， 蝻 子 來 吃 ； 蝻 子 剩 下 的， 螞 蚱 來 吃。
That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

一波接一波的蝗蟲吞噬一切的畫面令人心碎。前一種蝗蟲剩下的，後一種又吃盡了。這正像有時候苦難會接踵而來，讓我們感到被剝奪殆盡。
酒 醉 的 人 哪， 要 清 醒 哭 泣 ； 好 酒 的 人 哪， 都 要 為 甜 酒 哀 號， 因 為 從 你 們 的 口 中 斷 絕 了。
Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.
屬靈感悟
連醉漢都被叫醒哭泣——他們賴以得安慰的酒斷絕了。當我們平常的安慰來源消失時，迫使我們面對現實，或許也轉向更深的依靠。
有 一 隊 蝗 蟲 （ 原 文 是 民 ） 又 強 盛 又 無 數， 侵 犯 我 的 地 ； 他 的 牙 齒 如 獅 子 的 牙 齒， 大 牙 如 母 獅 的 大 牙。
For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

一個強盛無數、牙齒如獅子的民族入侵了——這不是溫和的警告，而是殘酷的現實。有時候，我們屬靈迷失的後果會以令人震撼和恐懼的方式顯現。
他 毀 壞 我 的 葡 萄 樹， 剝 了 我 無 花 果 樹 的 皮， 剝 盡 而 丟 棄， 使 枝 條 露 白。
He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.
屬靈感悟
葡萄樹和無花果樹——平安與興盛的象徵——被剝得精光。當那些曾經代表祝福和安全感的事物在我們眼前被毀壞時，實在令人心碎。
我 的 民 哪， 你 當 哀 號， 像 處 女 腰 束 麻 布， 為 幼 年 的 丈 夫 哀 號。
Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.
屬靈感悟
約珥把這哀傷比作年輕新娘為早逝的丈夫舉哀。那不是一般的難過——那是最深沉的失去。神了解我們悲傷的深度，並邀請我們誠實地把它帶到祂面前。
素 祭 和 奠 祭 從 耶 和 華 的 殿 中 斷 絕 ； 事 奉 耶 和 華 的 祭 司 都 悲 哀。
The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD’s ministers, mourn.
屬靈感悟
連祭司都在哀悼，因為祭物斷絕了。當敬拜被打斷，一些本質的東西就失去了。這提醒我們，透過敬拜與神的連結不只是儀式——它維繫著我們的屬靈生命。
田 荒 涼， 地 悲 哀 ； 因 為 五 穀 毀 壞， 新 酒 乾 竭， 油 也 缺 乏。
The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.

田野、五穀、新酒和油——一切都在枯萎，連土地本身似乎都在哀傷。受造之物反映了罪和災難帶來的破碎，渴望著復興。
農 夫 啊， 你 們 要 慚 愧 , 修 理 葡 萄 園 的 啊， 你 們 要 哀 號 ； 因 為 大 麥 小 麥 與 田 間 的 莊 稼 都 滅 絕 了。
Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.

農夫和園丁被呼召羞愧哀號，因為他們辛勤耕耘的收成毀於一旦。當你的努力因為無法控制的力量而歸零時，那是一種特別的痛苦。
葡 萄 樹 枯 乾 ； 無 花 果 樹 衰 殘。 石 榴 樹 、 棕 樹 、 蘋 果 樹， 連 田 野 一 切 的 樹 木 也 都 枯 乾 ； 眾 人 的 喜 樂 盡 都 消 滅。
The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

每一棵樹——葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、棕樹、蘋果樹——全都枯萎了。然後是真正的診斷：喜樂從人們的生活中枯萎消失了。當外在的毀壞觸及我們內在的喜樂時，我們知道這是真正的危機。
祭 司 啊， 你 們 當 腰 束 麻 布 痛 哭 ； 伺 候 祭 壇 的 啊， 你 們 要 哀 號 ； 事 奉 我 神 的 啊， 你 們 要 來 披 上 麻 布 過 夜， 因 為 素 祭 和 奠 祭 從 你 們 神 的 殿 中 斷 絕 了。
Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

祭司被吩咐穿上麻布，整夜哀傷。真正的悔改不是一個快速的禱告——而是心靈深處持續的轉向。有時候我們需要與哀傷同坐，讓它帶領我們回到神面前。
你 們 要 分 定 禁 食 的 日 子， 宣 告 嚴 肅 會， 招 聚 長 老 和 國 中 的 一 切 居 民 到 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 神 的 殿， 向 耶 和 華 哀 求。
Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD.

約珥呼召禁食和嚴肅會——所有人聚集在一起，向神呼求。一個群體共同承認自己的需要，同心向神呼求，其中大有力量。
哀 哉 ! 耶 和 華 的 日 子 臨 近 了。 這 日 來 到， 好 像 毀 滅 從 全 能 者 來 到。
Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

耶和華的日子被描述為從全能者那裡來的毀滅。這不是要恐嚇我們到癱瘓，而是要喚醒我們意識到在聖潔的神面前，我們所站的位置是何等嚴肅。
糧 食 不 是 在 我 們 眼 前 斷 絕 了 嗎 ？ 歡 喜 快 樂 不 是 從 我 們 神 的 殿 中 止 息 了 嗎 ？
Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?

食物斷絕，喜樂和歡欣從神的殿中消失——祝福的可見證據不見了。當我們失去神恩典的有形記號時，它迫使我們去尋求神自己，而不只是祂的禮物。
穀 種 在 土 塊 下 朽 爛 ； 倉 也 荒 涼， 廩 也 破 壞 ； 因 為 五 穀 枯 乾 了。
The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

種子在土裡腐爛，倉房荒涼，穀倉破敗——那些本來維持生命的系統正在崩潰。這是一個發人深省的畫面，讓我們看到根基在我們腳下崩塌時會發生什麼。
牲 畜 哀 鳴 ； 牛 群 混 亂， 因 為 無 草 ； 羊 群 也 受 了 困 苦。
How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

連牲畜都在哀鳴，困惑無助，因為沒有草吃。當苦難觸及每一個活物時，這提醒我們整個受造之物都在承受破碎的後果。
耶 和 華 啊， 我 向 你 求 告， 因 為 火 燒 滅 曠 野 的 草 場 ； 火 焰 燒 盡 田 野 的 樹 木。
O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

約珥親自向耶和華呼求——火吞噬了牧場。在描述廣泛的毀壞之中，他轉向禱告。這是正確的本能：當一切都在燃燒時，向那位能恢復一切的主呼求。
田 野 的 走 獸 向 你 發 喘 ； 因 為 溪 水 乾 涸， 火 也 燒 滅 曠 野 的 草 場。
The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

田野的走獸也向神哀求——牠們似乎也知道幫助必須從哪裡來。河流乾涸，牧場被焚，一切受造之物都在呻吟。知道連大自然都渴望神的介入，這其中有深刻的意義。
