約翰一書 第 3

你 看 父 賜 給 我 們 是 何 等 的 慈 愛， 使 我 們 得 稱 為 神 的 兒 女 ； 我 們 也 真 是 他 的 兒 女。 世 人 所 以 不 認 識 我 們， 是 因 未 曾 認 識 他。

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

親 愛 的 弟 兄 阿， 我 們 現 在 是 神 的 兒 女， 將 來 如 何， 還 未 顯 明 ； 但 我 們 知 道， 主 若 顯 現， 我 們 必 要 像 他 、 因 為 必 得 見 他 的 真 體。

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

凡 向 他 有 這 指 望 的， 就 潔 淨 自 己， 像 他 潔 淨 一 樣。

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

凡 犯 罪 的， 就 是 違 背 律 法 ； 違 背 律 法 就 是 罪。

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

你 們 知 道 主 曾 顯 現， 是 要 除 掉 人 的 罪 ； 在 他 並 沒 有 罪。

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

凡 住 在 他 裡 面 的， 就 不 犯 罪 ； 凡 犯 罪 的， 是 未 曾 看 見 他， 也 未 曾 認 識 他。

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

小 子 們 哪， 不 要 被 人 誘 感， 行 義 的 才 是 義 人， 正 如 主 是 義 的 一 樣。

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

犯 罪 的 是 屬 魔 鬼， 因 為 魔 鬼 從 起 初 就 犯 罪。 神 的 兒 子 顯 現 出 來， 為 要 除 滅 魔 鬼 的 作 為。

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

凡 從 神 生 的， 就 不 犯 罪， 因 神 的 道 （ 原 文 作 種 ） 存 在 他 心 裡 ； 他 也 不 能 犯 罪， 因 為 他 是 由 神 生 的。

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

從 此 就 顯 出 誰 是 神 的 兒 女，。 誰 是 魔 鬼 的 兒 女。 凡 不 行 義 的 就 不 屬 神， 不 愛 弟 兄 的 也 是 如 此。

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

我 們 應 當 彼 此 相 愛。 這 就 是 你 們 從 起 初 所 聽 見 的 命 令。

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

不 可 像 該 隱 ； 他 是 屬 那 惡 者， 殺 了 他 的 兄 弟。 為 甚 麼 殺 了 他 呢 ？ 因 自 己 的 行 為 是 惡 的， 兄 弟 的 行 為 是 善 的。

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

弟 兄 們， 世 人 若 恨 你 們， 不 要 以 為 希 奇。

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

我 們 因 為 愛 弟 兄， 就 曉 得 是 已 經 出 死 入 生 了。 沒 有 愛 心 的， 仍 住 在 死 中。

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

凡 恨 他 弟 兄 的， 就 是 殺 人 的 ； 你 們 曉 得 凡 殺 人 的， 沒 有 永 生 存 在 他 裡 面。

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

主 為 我 們 捨 命， 我 們 從 此 就 知 道 何 為 愛 ； 我 們 也 當 為 弟 兄 捨 命。

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

凡 有 世 上 財 物 的， 看 見 弟 兄 窮 乏， 卻 塞 住 憐 恤 的 心， 愛 神 的 心 怎 能 存 在 他 裡 面 呢 ？

But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

小 子 們 哪， 我 們 相 愛， 不 要 只 在 言 語 和 舌 頭 上， 總 要 在 行 為 和 誠 實 上。

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

從 此 就 知 道 我 們 是 屬 真 理 的， 並 且 我 們 的 心 在 神 面 前 可 以 安 穩。

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

我 們 的 心 若 責 備 我 們， 神 比 我 們 的 心 大， 一 切 事 沒 有 不 知 道 的。

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

親 愛 的 弟 兄 阿， 我 們 的 心 若 不 責 備 我 們， 就 可 以 向 神 坦 然 無 懼 了。

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

並 且 我 們 一 切 所 求 的， 就 從 他 得 著 ； 因 為 我 們 遵 守 他 的 命 令， 行 他 所 喜 悅 的 事。

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

神 的 命 令 就 是 叫 我 們 信 他 兒 子 耶 穌 基 督 的 名， 且 照 他 所 賜 給 我 們 的 命 令 彼 此 相 愛。

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

遵 守 神 命 令 的， 就 住 在 神 裡 面 ； 神 也 住 在 他 裡 面。 我 們 所 以 知 道 神 住 在 我 們 裡 面 是 因 他 所 賜 給 我 們 的 聖 靈。

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
